Hunting at Seven Devils Lodge

Our hunts are guided on 18,000 acres of private land, no fences.  We pride ourselves on providing a hunt that is more than just tagging a great animal.   Because we are so passionate about the entire hunting experience we look forward to glassing in the morning and being out at first light just as much as the hunter.   We treat each hunt as if it were our own.  A true sportsman experience is what we’re about.  Give us a call and learn more about what we have to offer in services even after you fill your tag.

A home away from home is provided during the hunt in our large, welcoming lodge, complete with a skilled cook, there to provide tasty and nutritious meals throughout the duration of your stay.  Our western style meals provide protein and carbs needed for hunting energy. As an added bonus, this area has the best water in the country, so bottled water is not a necessity. While a selection of snacks are provided, you are encouraged to bring your own go-to's to ensure your maximum energy level is sustained for your hunt.

On occasion we utilize one of the rustic cabins located on the ranch for lodging, or sleep out under the stars, so bring a sleeping bag if possible or we can provide you with one.  Generally, the hunts begin at dawn and last all day.  At times, depending on the details of the hunt, we will return mid day to the Lodge, catch up on fuel and rest, and return again for an evening hunt.  It is possible, as well,  the decision will be made to  stay right where the animals are for the night rather than hauling all the way back to camp or the Lodge. We will be prepared and discuss this option depending on how the hunts are going.

At the Lodge there is a walk-in cooler that allows game to stay cool for days. There are a couple options for meat processors within an hour and a half. For an additional charge of around $125, the meat processor will generally give priority status, to eliminate extra wait time. Laundry facilities are available and included in the fee, on site, although it is recommended to have at least 3 days worth of hunting attire.  Archery hunts could start with chilly mornings in the 40s and moderate to warm afternoons that could reach in the 80s. It is recommended to start out with a soft shell jacket and or vest.  When we're hiking I shed layers down to a long or short sleeve t-shirt . Rifle hunts in early October can be about the same as archery hunting weather. Late October and November hunts are the beginning of temps dropping below freezing and lots of precipitation. We pack rain gear for the unexpected rainy days and have multiple layers for hiking and sitting out on all day hunts. Rarely do we wear less than a light softshell jacket during this time of year. Mid November can produce very cold temps down in the single digits. We recommend wearing your wool pants.
