2013 is in the books with another year of great hunts and memories made. Elk season ended with getting into some really nice bulls. Hunters were from Texas and California this year. We had some good times and enjoyed making new friends while hunting. We were in elk everyday and no one was disappointed. We took a nice 6pt bull on a beautiful spot and stock hunt while some of the other hunts were what keeps us coming back for more with missed opportunities and stories of how close we were to getting it done. The hunts were solid experiences of how elk hunting goes.
The late buck hunts were two of our returning hunters from Texas. This father son duo had a goal in mind to tag their first muley bucks and they did just that. We had super mild weather this year which really effected the migration and kept deer from moving as much as they usually do. This meant we had to glass even more carefully not leaving any rock unturned. With great shots and a little luck we were able to find the bucks these guys were excited to claim as their own.
Cow hunters showed up this year ready to fill the freezers and we did just that. We had multiple cow hunters with 2 of them never had big game hunted. We performed a couple of the best spot and stock hunts we’ve had with these two and they got it done nicely. It was a perfect season for great cow hunting and we welcomed 2 more responsible true sportsman like hunters to the sport.
